In view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and state polls, political parties in Odisha don't want to leave any stones unturned, be it connecting to their workers or reaching out to the public. The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will hold a virtual conference on September 29, with party supremo and state Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik addressing the frontal organisations including women, students, youths and minority wings through video link. The virtual event is being seen as the BJD's attempt to steal the show from BJP president JP Nadda, who is set to visit the state on the same day. On September 29, Nadda will address 20,000 BJP workers from panchayat level at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. The BJD has also announced a one-month Jan Sampark Padyatra 2022 from October 2 to apprise the public about the pro-people initiatives taken by the Naveen Patnaik government. Meanwhile, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Sarat Patnaik is also scheduled to outline the routes of the party's localised Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is scheduled for October 31. The Aam Aadmi Party is also looking to spread its wings in Odisha. The party is planning to hold a blood donation camp in all 30 districts of the state on the occasion of Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary on September 28.
