Security situation in India: How many army security seats are vacant under India, how it was revealed.
India Today August 2024 report revealed that when India's security minister Rajnath Singh was asked in Parliament that so many army posts are lying vacant, it will be filled by recruiting new soldiers. Then his answer was that talking about such matters is "a sensitive operational matter related to national security" and disclosing such details would not be in the national interest, it can be said directly that the government will not tell anything about it to the public.
While earlier this government had told in March 2023 that 8,070 posts of officers are vacant in the army and 127,673 posts of Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and Other Ranks (OR) are lying vacant and among all this, 613 officer posts and 19,065 JCO / OR posts were filled between March 10, 2023.
The question arose whether the 127,673 vacancies that were already vacant have been filled so far? It is worth thinking whether these vacancies of soldiers are important when it comes to national security.
