New law of paper leak implemented: Provision of strict punishment in the new law of paper leak, new law implemented in the country from midnight.

The new law published in The Gazette of India, this law was named Examination Act 2024 i.e. Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024, with its implementation, now there is no mercy for those who leak the paper because its purpose is to curb the paper leak happening in the country, the central government implemented the notification of this law late on Friday night.

Provision of punishment in the law.

This law was passed by the Parliament in February 2024 itself and President Draupadi Murmu approved it. Now after the implementation of this law, the guilty of paper leak have been given a punishment of 3 to 10 years and a fine of 10 lakh to one crore. UPSC, SSC, Railway, Banking Recruitment Exams and all the exams conducted by NTA have been included in the scope of this law.

Apart from this, if any institution is involved in the paper leak case, then a new rule has been made to destroy its property and recover the entire cost of the exam from the same institution and now there is no provision for bail to the guilty found in this. And no officer holding a post lower than DSP or Assistant Commissioner will be able to investigate under this law.

Frauds in government exams.

 There was rigging in exams like NET and NEET, when such a thing came to light, there was a lot of uproar in the whole country, due to such uproar, NTA also postponed the CSIR-UGC-NET exam, which was to be held between June 25 and June 27, now its next date will be announced on the official website of NTA.

Suspicion of paper leak from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand.

In the case of NEET paper leak, there is a possibility of leak from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, after which EOU (Economic Offenses Unit) has demanded the original question paper from NTA to match the burnt booklet, earlier this was seen in Gujarat and Bihar.
