Which state has become the state to give internet free in India and how will you get its benefit, know the whole story.

 Kerala became the first state in the country where free internet facility is being provided. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has launched KFON i.e. Kerala Fiber Optic Network, through which the people of Kerala state will get free internet facility.

 The Kerala government had announced that it would provide free internet facilities to 20 lakh families of the state, out of which, according to the report, about 70,000 families have been provided free internet facilities, this facility has been completed through the Kerala fiber optic network. Internet was said to be a basic right in 1950 and after 4 years this free facility has been given to the people of Kerala.

 In July 2022, the Department of Communication got it licensed as KFON Intrastructure Providers and Internet Service Provider. Kerala is the only state in India where this facility is providing 1.5 GB data per day at the speed of 15 Mbps to the people of BPL families.

 What are KFON

 KFON i.e. Kerala Fiber Optic Internet provides infrastructures to provide internet facilities and it is up to 30000 kms with more than 375 Point of Present in Kerala and this service is to be shared with all infrastructure of cable operators.
