Be careful during festivals: Your account can be emptied by seeing congratulatory posts, private photos become a means of blackmailing, be careful on Rakshabandhan.

Be it a festival or any other good news related to you, you get messages from your well-wishers on your phone, but given today's increasing internet users and fraud, not everyone who congratulates you can be your well-wishers. Your personal data can be stolen through a link and the people congratulating you can be fraudsters, know how cyber thugs are cheating.

This is how people become victims of fraud.

First of all a link will come on your mobile, click on it, a form page will open, then a congratulatory message will come on your WhatsApp, along with this message the user will not know that his mobile will start taking unseen or invisible photos. In this way all his phone details and his personal photos will be stolen and after this hackers easily misuse it and even blackmail the user.

Ways to avoid cyber fraud.

Avoid phone calls coming from new mobile numbers or be alert about it.

Do not give your smart phone to anyone in unlocked mode.

Be cautious in online transactions.

Contact the bank branch for information about ATM, PIN and bank balance.

Do not scan the QR code of phone calls coming from new numbers.

Check the reviews and ratings of apps carefully before installing them.

Do not install applications like Quick Support, Any Desk, Team Viewer in your mobile.

If you or someone close to you has become a victim of cyber fraud, then complain about cyber fraud by calling 1930 here or register a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in.
