Marothia Peda has branches open at five places in the city. Apart from Marothia Bazaar, shops are also present in Saket Nagar, Mahalaxmi Nagar, Usha Nagar, Kalani Nagar. On this, Jain also says that along with the special demand during festivals, it is also in demand in foreign countries. People going from Indore often carry 'Pedas'.
Roasted mawa pedas are ready.
10 kg mawa is roasted on low flame and cardamom powder is added during roasting. Then after cooking the mawa, it is kept in a big vessel to cool slightly. While giving the final shape to the peda, a layer of sugar powder is applied on it. This peda does not spoil for 15 to 20 days and fresh mawa is prepared in the shop itself. The price of special peda is Rs 440 per kg.
5-6 quintals of pedas are made daily.
Five to six quintals of mawa pedas are being prepared daily. On festivals or any special occasion, the consumption doubles. Along with three different types of pedas, many types of sweets are prepared with pure ghee.
