Preparation to welcome Goddess Lakshmi: Three beliefs and auspicious time to donate lamp for Yamraj, today is the fourteenth.

On 11th November i.e. the second day of Deepotsav, Roop Chaudas was celebrated. This festival is also called Narak Chaturdashi and Chhoti Diwali. There are some beliefs related to this festival.

The first belief is that today is considered a day of dressing up to welcome Goddess Lakshmi.

Second: Shri Krishna had killed the demon named Narakasura on Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi. After this, today is the third day or the festival of donating lamps for Yamraj.

Lakshmi Puja will be performed on 12th November i.e. tomorrow. Before this puja, devotees apply rubbing to enhance their appearance, do oil massage and take bath by adding herbs in water. They do this so that Goddess Lakshmi blesses those people. Goddess Lakshmi bestows her blessings on those who live cleanly and whose homes and thoughts remain pure.

Method of making and applying Ubtan.

Make a paste by mixing turmeric, sandalwood, gram flour, saffron, milk, rose water, perfume, aromatic oil and water, then when the paste starts drying, wash it with water. Apply the paste lightly on the face, neck, hands and feet, then leave the paste for some time and you can also apply the paste on the entire body.

 Story related to Narak Chaturdashi.

There used to be a demon named Narakasura who had imprisoned 16,100 women. Lord Krishna came to know about this only then Krishna killed Narakasura on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month and freed all 16,100 women from captivity. Gave liberation. To honor the honor of these women, they had married women, hence, Shri Krishna is said to have 16, 108 queens. Since it is the date of Narakasura's killing, it is called Narak Chaturdashi.
