On May 28, 2023, the PCS examination of civil services was conducted. More than 13 lakh students appeared in the exam for 1255 seats, this exam was conducted in total 79 cities which was conducted on PAN and OMR sheets. The first paper was of GS, the second was of CSAT Civil Service Aptitude Test. The first paper was of GS, which was from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The second paper was conducted from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. There were 100 questions in the first paper and 80 questions in the second paper and there was a negative marking of 33% for each wrong answer. Whereas provision of 2 marks for all correct answers in the first paper and 2.5 marks in the second was also made.

This time the paper of 80 questions was also very tough, it was on Maths, Reading Comprehension, Reasoning, Logic, 42 questions should be from Mathematics, 26 questions should be from Reading, 12 questions should be from Reasoning. This paper is qualifying in nature, its marks are not counted in merit, 33% pass.
