In the match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Riders on Monday, Rinku Singh beat Punjab Kings by five wickets with a brilliant performance and its captain Nitish Rana's half-century and Andre Russell's 180-run chase chased down the target of 10 runs in the death overs. Enabled to finish the game with an unbeaten 21 in balls, a fine bowling performance to reduce PBKS to 179 for seven after KKR opted to bat on a slower wicket at the very first stage.

Saath continues to top the table and Yashasvi Jaiswal has reached the second spot with 477 runs at a strike rate of 160.60.

Varun Chakravarthy took 3/26 in this match to take him fifth on the Purple Cap table. He took 17 wickets in 11 matches while Gujarat Titans' Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan and CSK's Tushar Deshpande topped the table with 19 wickets. Piyush Chawla is at number four with 17 wickets.
