What was India's highest score in T20 played by Indian team at national and international level?
The Indian cricket team established its identity in the shortest version of the game when the inaugural T20 World Cup was won by the Indian cricket team for the first time in 2007. Since then, India has a good batting record in T20s with many wins and some best scores. India scored 200+ runs on 19 occasions, making it India's highest T20I score of 260 for 5 against Sri Lanka in Indore in 2017.

2007- 218/4 v. England!
218/4 is India's 5th highest team total in T20Is against England in Durban in 2007. It was the first T20I World Cup tournament, and was the 21st match. This game will be remembered for the various records that India broke. Virender Sehwag and Gambhir had already stitched an incredible opening partnership of 135 runs, but when Yuvraj entered the situation, the story seemed to change. He hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in the last over and completed his 50 in just 12 balls. Since then England too made a promising start but could not match Yuvraj's brilliance as they were 200, 19 runs short of the target.
2017- 260/5 v. Sri Lanka!
Team India's first highest score was 260/5 against Sri Lanka at Indore on 22 December 2017, with the help of a brilliant opening partnership of 165 runs between Rohit Sharma and Rahul, the team successfully put 260 runs on the scoreboard. Rohit Sharma was the captain of the team and he scored 118 runs in just 43 balls. KL Rahul also supported him well and contributed 89 runs in 49 balls. Chasing a mammoth target of 261, Sri Lanka's top-order batsmen Upul Tharanga and Kusal Perera tried to control the situation but could not achieve the target. The entire team was bundled out for 172 runs in 17.2 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav took a total of 7 wickets in that match.
2016- 244/4 v. West Indies!
The Indian team scored its second T20I highest score against the West Indies at Lauderhill in 2016. West Indies team has already set a challenging target of 246 runs for Team India with the help of Evin Lewis century and Johnson Charles brilliant 79 runs. Evin Lewis and KL Rahul, who replaced Chris Gayle and Shikhar Dhawan as the regular openers for both the teams, scored centuries for their respective sides. The Indian team tried well to chase down the target but fell short by only 1 run. There were some excellent wide yorkers from India in the death overs and that is why the West Indies batsman could score 64 runs in the last seven overs.
2019- 240/3 v. West Indies!
India's 3rd highest team score is 240 for 3 against West Indies in Mumbai in 2019. Batting first, Indian team openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul shared an incredible opening partnership of 135 runs. Then Virat Kohli did the rest, scoring an unbeaten 70 off 29 balls, which powered the Indian team to post their third highest team score. Indian batsmen Pollard and Hetmyer tried to chase down the target but wickets kept falling at regular intervals. They could only manage 173 runs and lost the match.
2021- 218/4 v. England!
The fourth highest team score for India was played against England at Ahmedabad. India batted first and scored 224 against England on 20 March 2021 with Virat Kohli scoring an unbeaten 80 as well as Rohit Sharma's 64. The help helped the team reach the 224-run mark. Despite a 130-run partnership for the second wicket, England could not chase down the target as the other batsmen could not do much and lost by 36 runs.
